OpenBox Events is a fast-growing, award-winning wedding production company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We provide premium photography, film, and DJ/Entertainment services for brides and grooms across southeastern Wisconsin and around the state.

Wedding Director

We’re looking for an organized candidate who enjoys managing the logistics of a wedding, collaborating with clients, and maintaining social media accounts across multiple company brands, including those outside of weddings. Applicants must work well independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate a strong, reliable work ethic, and regularly work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.


  • Consulting with potential clients and guiding them through the sales and booking process. 
  • Scheduling meetings and shoots with clients and our staff and contractors. 
  • Working with the Director of Personnel to be sure equipment is appropriately assigned, picked up, and returned for each wedding, and that anything that needs repair is dealt with appropriately in a timely manner. 
  • Managing workflows to be sure projects are working through our project management system appropriately. 
  • Assisting with scheduling to be sure all weddings are appropriately staffed based on client specifications and team member availability, and ensuring all staff and contractors have the appropriate information to carry out their roles. 
  • Communicating appropriately with couples as needed through phone, text, or email throughout the booking, planning, and deliverable process. 
  • Sending final photos and videos to couples and assisting with proper communication to coordinate any change requests. 
  • Assisting in support roles on weddings as needed, including running the photo booth and assisting in setting up production equipment. 
  • Working with our production team to create and manage a social media and content calendar across OpenBox Creative’s three brands in the video production and photography space.


  • Passion for weddings and creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. 
  • Ability to work nights and some weekends. 
  • Understanding of the vendor-side and client/guest-side logistics of weddings. 
  • Ability to use G-Suite, including Drive, Docs and Sheets. 
  • Past experience with HoneyBook, Airtable, and Calendly a plus. 
  • Past wedding coordination or management experience a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $17.50 - $20 per hour commensurate with experience
