WJE's Communications and Marketing group is searching for a skilled writer to elevate the content in our internal company news publication and on our website, in addition to many other projects. Collaborate with engineers, architects, scientists, and company leaders to tell our stories in an authentic and compelling way.

We're looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or a related field. The successful candidate possesses excellent writing and editing skills, a strong understanding of SEO, and the ability to generate new ideas for content for our internal and external channels. Responsibilities:

• Develop ideas and write content for our internal company news publication, website, news releases, marketing collateral, and other writing projects as assigned 
• Conduct research on industry trends, company news, and other relevant topics to create high-quality content 
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop content that aligns with company goals and objectives 
• Ensure that all content is accurate, compelling, and free of errors and inconsistencies 
• Edit and proofread content written by others to ensure accuracy and clarity 
• Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely publication of content 
• Optimize content for search engines and social media to increase visibility and engagement 
• Monitor and analyze content performance, using data to inform content strategy and optimization

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or related field
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Strong grammar skills. Understanding of Chicago Manual of Style helpful
• Strong research skills and the ability to quickly learn and write about new topics
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and the ability to write optimized content
• Creative problem-solving skills to generate new ideas for content
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines

Annual starting base salary (gross): $74,000 - $94,900. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on several factors including consideration for a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base salary is one component of our total compensation package for employees.
