Position Overview:

The Digital Content Creator's primary role will be creating quality and engaging content for use in a variety of marketing channels for the university. This position will support the media needs of the department of Marketing and Communications by generating content for the university website, social media, paid advertising, email, and other communication channels. This position will also assist other university departments by providing media education, photographic support, and communicating strategic visual direction. This role requires someone self-motivated and passionate about content creation and eager to further explore their professional career in digital marketing.

Essential Duties:

  • Managing and sharing media assets amongst the department and university stakeholders. 
  • Capture alumni stories/testimonials through photos and video on CSP's campus and alumni's workplace. 
  • Create media to assist in programmatic marketing including Current student & alumni testimonials, classroom photos, staged photoshoots, and campus facilities. The expectation is to refresh content every other year. 
  • Produce content to assist admissions marketing: Admission FAQ, Meet your admissions counselor, Financial Aid, Scholarships, Transfer Student FAQ, Net Cost, Student Experience, Room and Board, Tours, etc. 
  • Collaborate with the Communication Manager to capture video content for campus communications. Can include recordings of the president, senior leadership, and departments/centers on campus. 
  • Capture all major campus events including Welcome Weekend, Admitted Student Day, Commencement, and Homecoming. 
  • Capture student and department events when available. 
  • Manage, refresh, and order campus photo boards. Lead and take employee headshots twice each semester. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Required 
  • Required 3-4 years of professional or educational experience in the areas of photography and videography. 
  • Preferred Experience working with a creative team or agency. 
  • Preferred Any professional experience in marketing, communications, or journalism.

Competencies:

  • Photography and videography experience with a portfolio to support competencies. 
  • Time management, project organization, attention to detail, interdepartmental communication 
  • Proficiency in software including Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent), Lightroom, & Adobe Creative Cloud Suite

Physical Demands:

  • Additional Demands: Ability to lift/carry equipment for up to 1/2 mile around campus. Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Exceptions: Exposure to natural elements when photographing outside. Third-party locations, including alumni places of work, may include conditions with noise or physical exposure.
