The United Community Center, a non-profit community based organization is looking for a Marketing and Digital Communications Coordinator to manage the agency website and social media content and assist in the development of all agency marketing materials.

The candidate we seek will work closely with the Marketing Director to develop media, marketing and outreach plans for the various agency programs and activities, develop and write flyers, brochures, educational materials, and newsletters, as well as take full responsibility for updating website content for www.unitedcc.org and www.latinoartsinc.org and manage soclail media channels and help direct strategy.

The Marketing and Digital Communications Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating content for communications projects at agency including agency website, brochures, newsletters, annual reports,  and other marketing materials. Help develop yearly communications calendar and strategies for communications at agency to clients, donors and community members.

Duties of this position will include:

  • Responsible for content management on agency website and social media mechanisms including updates, improvements and new uses for website and social media to reach clients, donors, and potential employees; develop comprehensive, multi-year website plan. Train new program staff how to effectively utilize website to meet needs of programs.
  • In conjunction with Marketing and Fundraising Team, lead Social Media efforts.
  • Assist Marketing Director with the writing, coordination and execution of marketing and print materials including newsletters, annual reports, and brochures. Work with Graphic Designer on design of pieces, and for smaller projects develop design ideas and pieces directly.
  • Take lead on marketing materials for Latino Arts including writing and design ideas for brochure, website, event postcards, event programs, educational materials, etc.
  • Work with program managers to develop comprehensive communications plan to assist them to meet programmatic goals, client recruitment, etc.
  • Assist with special events in the realm of communications support
  • Miscellaneous duties as applied.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Communications and Marketing fields with at least 2-5 years of experience in public relations and marketing.
  • Superior writing ability, project management skills, as well as strong organizational skills needed.
  • A demonstrated ability to solve problems, seek out solutions, and be resourceful to get the work done is important.
  • Ability to build and develop relationships with coworkers to discover communication needs.
  • Strong social media and website content management knowledge
  • People skills, creative, and a team oriented attitude necessary.
  • Graphic design experience desired, as well as a general knowledge of current design software systems.
  • We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated person who can work well independently and in a team.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment; bilingual Spanish/English desirable.
