The Marketing Communications Manager is an experienced individual who will help lead the firm’s PR efforts through the development of internal and external content and customized marketing materials. This key member of the Marketing & Business Development Team will work with all practice groups and firm leadership to ensure our strategic branding and business development goals move forward.

  • Write, format and execute original internal and external content based on vehicle, including but not limited to press/media releases and responses, website, social media posts, client alerts, blogs, newsletters and email marketing campaigns (desktop publishing experience preferred)
  • Create and implement a set of client-specific guidelines for all communications
  • Draft and edit external content to ensure consistency that supports our brand
  • Systematically review and rewrite firm bios, practice descriptions and other communication pieces
  • Serve as a resource for various business development opportunities
  • Proactively identify and respond to various public relations and media opportunities
  • Monitor market trends, editorial calendars and other opportunities for public relations program enhancement and disseminate opportunities throughout the firm
  • Participate in the creation of RFPs and other customized marketing materials
  • Maintain and update company public relations contacts and media databases
  • Write and submit nominations for honors and recognition programs
  • Assist when needed with various firm events
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or related field or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of commensurate work experience in a professional services environment
  • Strong technical writing and editing skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to collaborate and influence at various levels within the department and organization to move objectives forward
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign or Illustrator)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience with e-mail marketing, CRM or website software is a plus
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office software
