Nalco Water, An Ecolab Company is seeking candidates for an Internal Communications Specialist. This position will be primarily responsible for writing, editing and designing print, audio/video and digital communications for internal audiences.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate proven success in the following core communications competencies: brand building; delivering business goals and enhancing organizational reputation through internal communications strategies and execution; informing, engaging & aligning employees; translating insights and analysis into effective key messages and brand platforms; creating and producing a diversity of communications; and building communications talent.

Purpose:

To inform, engage and align employees by implementing strategies to achieve communications goals for assigned targeted segments of Industrial Commercial Digital Solutions population.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify current and emerging internal stakeholders 
  • Demonstrate effective written & oral skills to different internal stakeholders 
  • Link project objectives and strategies with knowledge of Nalco Water and Industrial audiences and communication tactics to execute communication tactics and develop effective messages 
  • Apply knowledge of organizational channels, informal networks and tools of communication to reach intended audience 
  • Understand engagement metrics and tracking 
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of how to leverage digital transformation at Ecolab and Nalco Water enhance equity 
  • Ensure internal communications are aligned with broader corporate strategies 
  • Understand newsworthy events and impact on customers, competitors, external environment and potential broader issues. 
  • Track, manage and report projects progress

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years professional experience with corporate communications including experience with internal communications 
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in English, communications, journalism or related field 
  • Minimal travel required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong writing and editing skills 
  • Experience with social and digital media 
  • Experience with managing graphic design, photography, audio (podcasts) and video production 
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented 
  • Good relationship management skills 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Experience with content management systems 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines and budgets simultaneously 
  • Able to take initiative and move projects forward while still being able to foster a team atmosphere
